2010 football marketingpreneurs

June 25, 2010

We, marketingpreneurs are forever wiping our visions. Even now, in times of the biggest event; we are selfish enough to admire sales dynamics inside the square pitches throughout South Africa.

Perhaps, an amateur football analysis on my part- international football is not facing but going through a terrible decline! Well, at least not from the selling point of view.

Nonetheless, a more confident extraction from the world spectacle; is the wisdom that you can actually sell people no product but a promise of that product just because it has a reputable history.

It’s not about emotions you see, but all about contest. Can I get an Oh! moment please!

However, there is a twist – a marketingpreneur ought to celebrate this wonderful vision – ensure your leads funnel is filled with 80% or more of informal opportunities/leads.

Sustainability as well as survival in entrepreneurship are insisted by effecting strategies of contest over being efficient at competitive sparks in trying to win yourself formal sales.

Take the USA campaign in this world, conventional or contestable? Too easy,… France or Italy…much better one…England?

Tenders, RFP’s and the likes, require you to be of conventional reason. Whereas, Mrs. Jones, Bra Thaby require you to be more of a …marketingpreneur shall we say!

Marketing is what it is!

Entrepreneurs are not really likeable

Here’s to Entrepreneurship in Southern Africa

Valence Motivation (Pty) Ltd Blog

Entrepreneurs are people who might succeed or fail completely.

This makes them vulnerabe to dislike from several view points.

Some people will hear your idea(s) and start to think, such a simple solution; why it was not conceived by them in the first place.

Some people will see your passion. They will wonder where you get such drive yet you struggle to make means meet at times. While on the other hand, they are made.

Some people will notice your intelligence and acumen. They will worry hard about how it comes that you don’t come from a rich family but you are this damn good.

Some people will surely, see you make a lot of money and start comparing age gaps. They will know that they could have done something different while at your age.

Some people will surely, see you make a lot of money and start comparing age gaps. They will know that they could have done something different while at your age.

Some people may wish to give you a breakthough deal but then stop to think about you coming up than they will ever do. They will give it somebody else.

Some will see you fail, fail and fail. And they would wish you would just stop being stubborn and get a job.

But you will remain who you are, an entrepreneur.

You are what you are. You do it, because you cannot help it but be an entrepreneur.

You are not seeking popularity nor fame. Nonetheless, you will get what’s coming to you.

Some people will like you for it.

An entrepreneur has a stomach

May 3, 2013

Entrepreneurship is not a trade you pick because things have gone bad for you. It is not a way of life for those seeking a plan B.

This life of entrepreneurship is for those who knew long before the leap, that they could stomach it.

Everything involved with this monkey business. I am not to tell you, the things you have to stomach as an entrepreneur. That is not the point.

The point is you will know that you are an entrepreneur, a real one, when you ask yourself; will I make it?

There is a lot to take in. Too much burden, on the person of the person and on the soul.

An entrepreneur will always make it. A real one. A real entrepreneur will always make, despite of his failures and weaknesses till now, because he dared to ask the most daring question no normal person can ask;

Will I make it?

if you are intelligent, stay that way

April 24, 2013

there is too much movement as well as pressures around cool. Boys and girls want to be cool.

Fathers and mothers want to be cool while adapting tendencies of imposing the heavy expecation of coolness upon their children, especially the teen.

Folks at the workplace want to be cool. Cool, cool, cool everywhere.

What about the intelligent. Has thier era passed. what are they called again? Nerds, right!

There was a time when men and women fancied a warrior in physique, a poet in romance and most importantly; a philospher im mind.

A real man was only real by his show of intelligence. As such he would be awarded honour, prestige and wealth from and by the society.

Coolness has come and been seen to have conquered. But it didn;t you see. The intelligent are still of station both in society and in life.

The cool ones may intimidate with their swagger and consumerism. Still, the nerds, with their gadgets, spooky outlook will nonetheless wake up to smelling the finest coffees of the world spheres.

So I am saying, you don’t have to stoop your geekness in order to raise your likeness on facebook or twitter or the likes.

You don’t have to ignore your urge to work hardest on your lonely ideas and concepts. You are intelligent. That is so cool. Ask the cool guys!

if you can’t risk your sanity, don’t do it

entrepreneurship is hard and tough. You have to work so hard and yet be faced with the possibility of loss.

Profits at times seem speculative. The journey really is full of ups and downs. These you find in your moods as well.

The last bit is what you ought to manage well if you are doing it for the long haul. They call us main street entrepreneurs if we have a life committment to our enterprises.

Manage your moods well. One moment you, shall feel complete doubt then the next absolute faith.

I know you want to maintain faith. Faith is good for you and your career. iIt removes all limitations throughout your journey.

on the other hand, doubt is so terrible is like losing your mind. It will come to you still. But you must fight it hard.

I recommend the next cure. This tactic has helped me to build a normal company.

Find a talisman. Some thing you can be able to practice a ritual or repetetive course with the sole purpose of reinforcing your faith and securing your sanity in the process.

why do you hate wisdom so much?

June 4, 2012

Africans are very interesting.  I say this because we love great and beautiful things. Heaven, we are even used to creating beautiful arts, designs, songs and many other things that improve upon the person.

We have been educated in diverse knowledge and grown in intelligence in whichever areas of enrollment one participates.  It has come now of a stern belief that we will have beautiful things, because we “know”; therefore we will be rewarded for qualifying under that knowledge.

especially if we keep adding to it.  This is true.  It does work that way for most people.  In the adverse, you find a lot of people suffer under the fate of mediocrity due to lack of knowledge.

This “way” has actually become the African Social Program (ASP).  Many a man, derail their efforts and esteem to not owning qualification to certain knowledge set.  This determines the who is and who is not in Africa.

A man or woman with qualifications to knowledge is mightily celebrated whereas, one without is discerned readily.

Nonetheless, the situation has compelled to ask, “why do you hate wisdom so much?”

The honest truth is Africa is incredibly poor and backward.  Leaders are making ridiculous deals with the west and east.  More bloodshed, more implicating donations, high literacy, yes literacy; and not enough wisdom.

Just so that we are clear, most people are not going to like nor appreciate this blog because it might sound too simplistic as opposed to qualitative and quantitive and metrics and analysis…and so forth.

Yet, the west and east do make  simplistic decisions.  Say, Africa has minerals, but lack infrastructure; so let’s go there take the minerals, take their businesses and create jobs for our people in the rural through build and environment using African materials.  Very simple!

One  more, let us give them money so that we can control their policies so as to allow for our control.  This control will come handy when we need land, agriculture, minerals, jobs for our people and so on…Again very simple!

But in Africa, a learned thought will go like, “we are very poor, so we need to educate our children to become doctors, lawyers and staticians so that they may get jobs and live better lives!”

At that time, there are no proper hospitals, no clinics, no proper court systems and etcetera.  As a solution to this problem, “we shall ask the Americans and Chinese to build us hospitals”.

And eh…?

Remember control?

Anyway,  since this is pointless; I might as well cut it short.  Wisdom is making simple but generally enriching decisions whereas knowledge is about making self-enriching decisions.

If ever you were wondering why Africa is this poor and is under so much foreign control.  And why you might not get to see a sophisticated growth like the one we saw in Dubai and Qatar!  It won’t happen because too many Africans qualify to improve upon only their beings.

Better yet, Africans hate wisdom!

Valence Motivation (Pty) Ltd Blog

I just received an email of response from a South African counterpart. Unfortunately, he was not able to support my request since the program in point is not his focus.

Anyway, what caught my eye was a tiny detail below his e-mail signature. It read “sent from an Ipad”. I went “nice”.

So it got me really thinking about the whole “bang” moment. That’s whats up! We need to get moving forward.

We need to keep innovating and evolving with the myriad of postive changes being created or imposed unto us by the various currents of society and business.

It had been a long time since my last post on this blog. However, the email that was supposed to disappoint me got me excited.

So I ought to update, who knows you might get motivated.

So I ought to update, who knows you might get motivated.

You must read that literature. You must start that business, print that T-shirt, organize that event! It might be a flop or a huge let-down but if it is what I think it is….idealistic; it surely will excite some folks.

This was rather not send from an Ipad but it certainly came from a changing place.

I suppose I just wanna be successful

October 31, 2011

Trey Songs released a song where he makes an outline of the outcomes he expects from his hard work….”i want the money, money, cars and clothes and the w*****….”, he sings.
What struck me the most is this young fellow, like myself; gets politically correct and puts in the word “suppose”. This is how it goes, “…I suppose, I just wanna be successful”
Trey Songs is black.
Is he against the credo of Think Big by the tycoons as Donald Trump or the teachings of spirituality of finding our inner self with this song?
Trey Songs is an African American.
Here is my twist. There is a message here, both political and spiritual.
And it is, if you are black and young; strive so hard to own something….and to own something, obviously you are going to be somebody….and to be somebody, you will have influence and enough power to inspire the next guy to the same truth….until our economic rebound is assured.
Trey Songs is brilliant musician….reaching millions of youths around the world with his music and lyrics….and that is enough power for a young African and American.
Well with me, I want the money, money, cars and the clothes ….
I suppose I just wanna be successful.
